Åsunden Runt- Rör dig för livet was founded to honour the memory of Anders Friberg, Garth Shipley and Patricia Kristoffersen who died of CANCER, to bring people together and to donate money to cancer research.
The idea for Åsunden Runt came from an event in the UK called SHINE where people gather to walk round a city at night to remember those that have lost their fight against cancer or support those who have cancer and to donate money to research. Ida, Sarah and Karin took part in a half marathon in London in 2011 and Sarah took part in a full marathon in Manchester in 2012.

Anders Friberg and Garth Shipley had cancer of the liver and pancreas. The 12th May 2004 Anders lost his fight against cancer. Anders was only 54. The 21st October 2006 Garth lost his fight against cancer. Garth was only 60 . You left an imprint in our hearts that never can be erased.
